Here is my take on the color challenge:
I'm going to be completely honest with you--this page took FOR-EV-ER. I cut the diamond shapes out on my silhouette, covered them with adhesive, and laid the strips down. I then placed them how I wanted to be on the page (without adhesive), and pierced stitching holes. I took everything off, sewed it, and stuck it all back on. It is not perfect at all, but I'm happy with it. It was supposed to be an eight point star, but somehow I only ended up with seven. Oh well! Here is the image I was inspired by:
